The Kardashian empire has given us everything from beauty lines, top-notch memes, and endless hours of guilty-pleasure reality TV. But as the show comes to an end after 20 seasons, it seems their impact on the food world is summed up in a single dish (or plastic bowl rather): the Kardashian Salad.
If you’ve seen a single episode of KUWTK, it is very likely you’ve seen the sisters shaking the life out of their giant salad bowls, or munching on lettuce through deep conversations about vacations to Maui or the latest family wedding. Fans have seen this staple meal for years, and finally we have an answer to the question, What the heck is in that salad??
The Kardashians’ go-to bowl comes from a local health food restaurant called Health Nut, which the Kardashians have been frequenting for years. Surprisingly, this is a pretty casual neighborhood spot, selling their signatures salads and wraps for just over $10.

The most common order from the Kardashian crew is the Chinese Chicken Salad. The salad is made up of chopped romaine lettuce, shredded chicken breast, shredded carrots, pickled ginger, chow mein noodles, and a creamy sesame dressing. If you don’t trust any old dressing you find in stores to mimic the same Kardashian salad flavor, you can actually order the exact dressing (called The Sesame) from the Health Nut website. To assemble, all you have to do is combine all of the above ingredients in the bowl or container of your choosing, and get to munching.
By the way, I have to give them credit—their signature salad shake probably is the best method for achieving ideal dressing coverage.
To complete the order, the sisters often add a Mango Iced Greentini, which is a refreshing combo of green tea, mango, and honey powder. It also happens to be the restaurant's most popular drink.
So, what did I think? The first time I tried making my own version of the salad at home, I thought, “Huh, pretty tasty. Probably not good enough to eat again, but good flavor and texture.” However, as the week went on, and I found all the ingredients left in my fridge, I began to make it again and again and again. Before I knew it, I had eaten this salad 4 NIGHTS IN A ROW. And you should know, I am the furthest thing from a salad person.
The Chinese Chicken Salad worked its magic powers over me, and somehow I ate this salad on repeat without ever getting bored or fatigued. The shredded chicken had enough protein to keep me full, while the crunch of the chow mein noodles offered enough texture to feel satisfying. Even without the exact dressing (I used this creamy sesame from Whole Foods), I was hooked. All that to say, I finally understand how the Kardashians can eat the same salad for almost the entirety of a 20-season TV show.
Now please excuse me while I go buy more lettuce and rotisserie chicken to make dinner tonight.
If you haven't heard of Health Nut, you probably known them more famously as the “Kardashian salads” that they are always eating/shaking around on their show (in case you aren't a fan of the show, the Kardashians' go-to order is the Chinese chicken salad and the mango iced greentini).
OK, yes, a bowl of salad is not groundbreaking. However, the Kardashians made them famous because of their very particular way of preparing them. The impossibly glamorous women take their huge plastic bowls of leaves and shake them to (we assume) evenly distribute any dressing or extra ingredients.
This viral La Scala Chopped Salad was made famous by none other than the Kardashians, so you know I needed to give it a try. All of the great flavours from an Italian cold cut but in a salad format.
Kim Kardashian typically consumes around 1200-1600 calories per day, sticking to her low-carb, high-protein diet, as per an article on Health.com. Her meals are well-balanced and filled with whole foods to provide necessary nutrients while keeping the caloric intake in check.

Kourtney, known for her wellness journey and dedication to a healthy lifestyle, has embraced various dietary approaches over the years. From going gluten- and dairy-free to transitioning towards a predominantly plant-based diet, the reality TV star has found what works best for her and her family's well-being.
To fuel her early workouts, Kourtney loves avocado pudding. It's packed with healthy fats and she swears it tastes better when eaten with a spoon. It isn't until after her morning workout that Kourtney eats breakfast, which usually consists of whole-grain stovetop oatmeal with fruit, honey, seeds, or bee pollen.
Breakfast: "After exercising—which I try to do 5-6 times a week in the morning—I usually have a bowl of whole grain oatmeal made on the stove (instant isn't as good for you!). I'll add fruits, sprinkle seeds or bee pollen, or drizzle honey on top to mix it up."
The Kardashians have shared a lot about their diets, including their favorite fast-food menu items. One of Kim Kardashian's favorite fast-food menu items is McDonald's chicken nuggets dipped in honey. Kourtney Kardashian said her last meal would be McDonald's french fries and a vanilla milkshake.
Specifically, Kardashian followed the “Atkins 40” diet, eating 40 grams (1.4 ounces) of net carbs, three 113-170 gram servings of protein, and two to four servings of fat per day. She also drank eight cups of water every day and treated herself to an Atkins peanut butter cup on occasion.
Chef K has been cooking for the family for almost a decade.
That's according to Khristianne Uy, or Chef K, the family's personal chef, who's been whipping up meals for the Kardashian-Jenners for almost a decade.
One of the most common DM's we get is being asked what @kimkardashian 's favorite Health Nut salad is. Well, here's your answer! Our Chinese Chicken Salad, made with shredded chicken breast, dry chow mein noodles, pickled ginger, and carrots, served with our delicious sesame dressing.
While on the keto diet, Kourtney opts for low-carb snacks that are packed with protein, like bone broth or nuts. Not even Kourtney can avoid an afternoon craving. The reality star's go-to afternoon snack varies from avocado hummus and fresh veggies to raw almonds to fresh fruit.
