Yoast regularly updates its plugin making improvements and adding new features. And therein is the problem.
Yoast has become bloated with features that are nice to have but are they really necessary?
Adding Plugins can slow down WordPress. And that is why you should only add plugins that are really needed. Yes, you do need an SEO plugin but is Yoast the best option?
Yoast SEO is a great plugin but it has become bloated. So what do you do if you want to claw back any lost site speed from Yoast?
You have two options:
1/ Install Rankmath which is much more lightweight. You just have to add the plugin and import your Yoast settings.
Do you need features like Readability and Cornerstone Content?
