This professor gives more homework for her 3 credit class then all my other classes (11 credits total) combined. For reference, my financial accounting class gives 4 a week and it takes a couple hours. This professor gives on average, 16-22 (LONG AND GRADED METICULOUSLY) assignments a week. We have to write a 10 page essay for 40% of our grade too.

Gives too much work. Tougher grader than English teachers. Grades very late. Every assignment asks to refer to a specific page of a book. She never gave us the link to the book, or the online pdf. Different pdfs have different pages for the same topic. Nobody was able to use what she was referring. Has 300+ word discussions and 1000+ word essays.

A lot of homework for the class. As long as you do the homework then you are good. She responds very quickly to emails if you have any questions. Her grading for essays is not bad. She ignores some minor mistakes. The only bad thing is too much work.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!! She loads us up with so many assignments knowing her class is a General Ed. The amount of work given is not worth no 3 little credits. Get ready to set aside at least half of your week for these assignments. It seems like she doesn't take into consideration people's lives and that we also have other classes to do

Do NOT take this professor. She assigns work as if her students don't have any other classes or obligations in their lives. The class is only 3 units but I was spending more time on this class than all of my other classes combined and I was taking 15 units altogether. I had to drop because I was actually on the verge of a mental breakdown.

This class would be 10x better if we weren't writing discussion posts up to a thousand words long. I cannot express the amount of reading/writing required to be completed soon after the start of the week. The busy work is insufferable. The discussion posts ALONE are enough to drive you crazy. In what world is 4-5 hours on a DISCUSSION reasonable?

INSANE AMOUNT OF WORK! Never have I ever had to work so hard in class which was only for 3 units. Weekly discussions consisting of 20+ questions with 4 readings, 3 videos about 10 minutes long, weekly quizzes, 2 4-5 pages essays from the discussions, and a final 12 page research paper. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

I did not really enjoy this class solely based on how much reading and homework was assigned. Compared to other classes it was about 2x the workload. I enjoyed the teacher and she gave great feedback, her grading was on the lax side (which is nice!) but the majority of my time doing homework was spent on this class.

I actually really liked her class! She lets you choose what you want to do for your final paper. I loved learning new things about our history! Shes a great teacher and if you do what she wants you to do then you will pass. She is a Turabian writing style teacher. Also dont know how to spell that but close enough! Take her cause shes fun!

Prof. Helton is a very devoted instructor in her classes. HOWEVER, the amount of work you will need to put into this course is indeed heavy. Even though this class is a 3 credit course, Helton assigns MASSIVE amounts of homework. For her 6 week online class, she had us do a midterm essay, a book report, a 10 page research paper, and weekly discussions. However, she is an extremely easy grader. As long as you keep up with your assignments, you will get an A. Be wary of deadlines!

BEWARE. This course was like taking two 5 credit course. A rediculous amount of essays... 5 total. 1 within the first month of class or so, 2 others that count towards your midterm (instead of tests) another random essay towards the end(All of these 4-5 page minimum)& A 10 page paper that counts as your final. On top of MUCH much more weekly work.
