From Liberty University
At Liberty University, we believe in developing Christ-centered men and women with the values, knowledge, and skills to impact their world.
We offer 350+ residential undergraduate and graduate degree programs ranging from aeronautics to zoology, and exciting opportunities to serve, worship, and have fun. Our world-class campus provides opportunities for you to thrive as a student while preparing to make an impact for Christ through your career.
We believe a Liberty education should be affordable and accessible to everyone. That’s why we’ve frozen tuition for six years and counting, waived the test-score admission requirement, and created the one-of-a-kind Middle America Scholarship for students who don’t qualify for the Federal Pell Grant.
Liberty has the resources and opportunities of a large state university — and the heart and soul of an intimate Christ-centered college. You won’t find anywhere like it.

I really enjoyed my time at Liberty. I transferred in as a Junior and never lived on-campus, but there are great programs to get "commuter" students connected. Nearly all of my professors were wonderful as teachers and mentors. With multiple other colleges and universities in and near Lynchburg, there is definitely a college town feel. Campus is nice, modern, and feels very safe. There is also a pretty extensive network of buses and shuttles to/from campus from various parts of town, and the city buses are free with a student ID. I still miss gym on campus; it's fantastic! There's a wide variety of workout classes, awesome rock wall, pool, extensive equipment, etc. (besides the year-round ski slope, lake, and hiking trials on the mountain all included in the student rec fees). They also do online classes very well.

One positive aspect of Liberty University often highlighted by students is the sense of community and the supportive environment fostered on campus. Many students appreciate the strong sense of belonging and the opportunities for spiritual growth. Apart from these liberty is the home of sporting events.
However, areas for improvement often mentioned include diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that all students feel welcome and valued regardless of their backgrounds, beliefs, or identities. Additionally, some students have raised concerns about university's approach to certain social issues. Continuous efforts to address these concerns could enhance the overall experience for students at Liberty University

I've enjoyed my time with Liberty University Online so far! The advisors I've spoken to on the phone and through chat have overall been helpful in figuring out the whole process of applying, registering for courses, and going through financial aid options. Their online format for their courses has been easy to navigate overall as well, and my professors so far have been helpful, encouraging, and understanding.
There have been some times, however, where I felt like I wasn't given enough information from academic advisors, specifically when trying to send Liberty my homeschool high school transcript. I was told I needed to send it through the mail, and that advisor couldn't give me a specific timeline for when it could potentially get there. But I talked with another advisor afterward who informed me that normally it would take a couple weeks. I ended up being able to send it through email, so it all worked out, it just felt unnecessarily complicated to send in a homeschool transcript.
