How long do you have to be at the airport before your flight with Jet2? ›

Our check-in desks generally open at least 2 hours 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time – see the check-in opening times at your airport. Please arrive at the airport in good time, as our check-in desks will close 40 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

It is the news that the region has been waiting for - Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.com confirmed at a press conference this morning that they will commence the first ever transatlantic flights to New York, from Leeds Bradford airport.

Our baggage policy

On all our Jet2.com flights, each passenger has a 10kg hand luggage allowance included as standard (excluding infants) and you can also bring a small, personal item onboard (such as a handbag or laptop bag) as long as it fits under the seat in front of you.

In most cases, you will only need to go to check-in when you have checked-in online if you need to drop off an item of hold baggage. Please ensure that you are aware of the hand baggage requirements for your specific airline before you travel.

Jet2 do have the £40 charge for airport checkin of you book flight only, but not if you book a package direct with them.

Do Jet2 City Breaks include transfers? Transfers are not automatically included in Jet2 City Breaks, however, you can add them in during the booking process if you want to.

What is considered a personal item bag varies from airline to airline, but a small purse, briefcase and laptop bag are always considered personal items. Backpacks, totes, and crossbody bags are typically considered personal items too. The key to remember is it must be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you.

For a small charge, you can select your preferred seats online, including extra leg room seats. We also have the option of seating together where your seats are guaranteed to be together, although these may be separated by an aisle.
